28.61

上曰。此是什麼。師奏。向來乞進三祖大師信心銘及鐵舌菴傳與前後奏對錄　上有旨令收入。次至交蘆室見師畫像。乃問曰。此是誰。師對。此是僧徒畫臣頂相。求贊。

The Emperor said, "What are these?" The Master memorialized, "Earlier I asked to present the Third Patriarch and Great Master's Inscription on Faith in Mind, the Biography of the Iron Tongue Hermitage, and the records of earlier and later audiences." The Emperor issued a decree ordering them to be accepted. Next, arriving at the Jiaolu Room, he saw a portrait of the Master and asked, "Who is this?" The Master replied, "This is a portrait of your servant painted by the monastic disciples, who asked for a verse of praise."
