婺州義烏稠巖了贇禪師上堂。舉趙州狗子無佛性話。乃曰。趙州狗子無佛性。萬疊青山藏古鏡。赤脚波斯入大唐。八臂那吒行正令。咄。

Chan Master Liaoyun of Chouyan in Yiwu of Wuzhou ascended the hall. He cited Zhaozhou's gong'an of the dog having no Buddha-nature and said: 'Zhaozhou's dog has no Buddha-nature—ten thousand folds of green mountains conceal an ancient mirror. Barefoot, the Persian enters the Great Tang; eight-armed Nata executes the true decree. Bah!'
