吉州青原如禪師。僧問。達磨未來時如何。師曰。生鐵鑄崑崙。曰後來如何。師曰五彩畫門神。
Chan Master Ru of Qingyuan in Jizhou. A monk asked, 'How was it before Bodhidharma came?' The master said, 'Cast a Kunlun figure from pig iron.' The monk asked, 'How was it afterward?' The master said, 'Draw a door-god in five colors.'
