成都府信相戒修禪師上堂。舉馬祖不安公案乃曰。兩輪舉處煙塵起。電急星馳擬何止。目前不礙往來機。正令全施無表裏。丈夫意氣自衝天。我是我兮爾是爾。

Chan Master Jiexiu of Xinxing in Chengdu Prefecture ascended the hall and brought up the gong'an of Mazu being indisposed, saying: 'Where the two wheels rise, dust and smoke swirl up; / Flashing like lightning and speeding like stars, how could one halt them? / Before one's eyes there is no hindrance to the dynamic of coming and going; / The upright command is fully applied with neither inside nor outside. / A hero's spirit naturally pierces the sky: / I am I, and you are you!'
