溫州淨居尼無相法燈禪師上堂。拈拄杖卓曰。觀音出普賢入。文殊水上穿靴立。擡頭鷂子過新羅。石火電光追不及。咄。

Chan Master Nun Wuxiang Fadeng of Jingju in Wenzhou ascended the hall. She held up her staff, struck [the ground], and said, 'Avalokiteśvara exits, Samantabhadra enters. Mañjuśrī wears boots and stands on the water. Raise your head—the sparrowhawk has crossed to Silla; sparks from flint and flashes of lightning cannot catch up. Bah!'
