34.20

福州鼓山宗逮禪師上堂。世尊道。應如是知如是見如是信解不生法相。遂喝曰。玉本無瑕却有瑕。

Chan Master Zongdai of Gushan in Fuzhou ascended the hall: "The Bhagavat said, 'One should thus know, thus see, thus have faith and understanding, not giving rise to the marks of phenomena.'" Then he shouted and said, "Jade originally has no flaws, yet it has flaws."
