4.22

汝州廣慧德宣禪師。僧問。祖祖相傳傳祖印。師今得法嗣何人。師曰。仲氏吹塤伯氏吹箎。曰。恁麼則廣慧的子首山親孫也。師曰。椽塠裏坐地不打闍梨。

Chan Master Dexuan of Guanghui in Ruzhou. A monk asked, 'Patriarch transmits to patriarch, transmitting the patriarch's seal. Whose Dharma do you now attain, and whose heir are you?' / The master said, 'The second brother plays the xun; the eldest brother plays the chi.' / [The monk] said, 'If so, then you are a true child of Guanghui and a personal grandson of Shoushan.' / The master said, 'Sitting in a pile of rafters, I do not strike the ācārya.'
