瑞州洞山永孚禪師上堂。棒頭挑日月木馬夜嘶。鳴拈拄杖曰。雲門大師來也。卓一下曰。炊沙作飯。看井作袴。參。

Chan Master Yongfu of Dongshan in Ruizhou ascended the hall: "At the tip of the staff, carry the sun and moon; the wooden horse neighs in the night." Holding up his staff, he said, "The Great Master Yunmen has arrived!" Striking once, he said, "Cooking sand into rice; seeing a well, making it into trousers. Attend!"
