福州廣明常委禪師。僧問。知師久蘊囊中寶。今日當場略借看。師曰看。曰恁麼則謝師指示。師曰。等閒垂一釣容易上鉤來。

Chan Master Changwei of Guangming in Fuzhou. A monk asked, "I know the Master has long kept the jewel hidden in his pouch; today on the floor, please lend it to me for a look." The Master said, "Look." The monk said, "Then I thank the Master for your instruction." The Master said, "Dropping a line at leisure, it easily took the hook."
