鼎州梁山圓應禪師。僧問。如何是超佛越祖之談。師曰。喫粥喫飯。

Chan Master Yuanying of Liangshan in Dingzhou. A monk asked: “What is the discourse that surpasses the buddhas and goes beyond the patriarchs?” The Master said: “Eating gruel, eating rice.”
