The monk picked up the sitting mat. The Master said: 'Being too clever overreaches itself.' The monk said: 'Since antiquity, the tune of the unborn must meet an appreciative ear.' The Master said: 'A Persian enters the land of Tang.' The monk laughed loudly and returned to the assembly.
