2.26

毱多諸徒。以是皆得證四果。尊者尋超身虛空。作一十八變。以三昧火而自焚。是時也當此周宣王之世也。毱多乃以其舍利。建寶塔於迦羅山勝處。與人天共其供養。

Because of this, all of Gupta's disciples attained realization of the four fruits. The Venerable One soon leaped into empty space, performed the eighteen transformations, and consumed himself with the fire of samādhi. This was during the reign of King Xuan of Zhou. Gupta then took his relics and built a precious stupa in an excellent place on Mount Jialuo, joining with humans and devas to make offerings to it.
