4.8

大士付法已。即座超身。高半由旬凝然而居。四眾遽告曰。我輩欲奉舍利。願尊者無為神化。乃頹然復其座而滅。焚已眾斂舍利。建寶塔而供養之。其時當後漢孝安帝之世也。

Having entrusted the Dharma, the Mahāsattva leaped up from his seat, remaining motionless half a yojana high in the air. The fourfold assembly urgently cried out: 'We wish to revere your relics; may the Venerable Sir not transform into spirits!' Thereupon he collapsed back onto his seat and passed into extinction. After the cremation, the assembly gathered his relics, erected a jeweled stupa, and made offerings to them. This was during the reign of Emperor Xiao'an of the Later Han.
