評曰。出三藏記所謂不若多羅。而此曰般若多羅。又謂弗若蜜多。而此曰不如蜜多。何其異耶。曰此但梵音小轉。蓋譯有楚夏耳。然般若多羅於諸祖獨多讖語。而後頗驗之。豈非以法自其後而大盛於中國欲有所誌耶。將示聖人之心其所知遠乎。

Commentary: The Chu sanzang ji ji speaks of 'Puṇyatāra', while here it says 'Prajñātāra'; it also speaks of 'Puṇyamitra', while here it says 'Punyamitra'. Why the discrepancy? It is said: This is merely a slight shift in Sanskrit pronunciation, resulting from variations in translation. Yet among all the patriarchs, Prajñātāra uniquely spoke many prophecies, which were later largely verified. Is it not that, because the Dharma would flourish greatly in China after him, he wished to make a record of it? Or did he intend to show that the sage's mind possesses far-reaching foreknowledge?
