武德中臨卭人姓韋。與一婦人言誓期不相負累年失寵愛。婦人怨恨。韋懼其及已。因縊殺之。數日韋身庠。因發癩而死（韋孝諧說云量其從兄也）。

During the Wude era, a man of Linqiong surnamed Wei made an oath with a woman promising never to abandon her, but over the years she lost his affection and love. The woman harbored deep resentment, and Wei, fearing that trouble would reach him, strangled her to death. Several days later, Wei's body began to itch, and he died after breaking out in leprosy (related by Wei Xiaoxie, who said that this was his cousin).
