隋上柱國蒲山惠公李寬。性好田獵。常養鷹數十。後生一男。口為鷹嘴。遂不舉之（公即李蜜之父臨家與親。並悉見之）。

Li Kuan, Duke Hui of Pushan and Grand Pillar of State of the Sui, was fond of hunting and regularly kept several tens of falcons. Later, a son was born to him whose mouth was a falcon's beak; he then did not rear him. (The duke was the father of Li Mi; my family was related to them, and they all saw this.)
