A certain monk of Fuxian Monastery in the Divine Capital suddenly passed away at one time. Thereupon, along the path of karma, he saw Dhyāna Master Xinxing transformed into the body of a great serpent, completely covered with mouths. Furthermore, he saw that those students of the Three Levels who had died all entered into the mouths of this serpent's body, none knowing where they went. That monk then revived. For this reason, he came to the capital to report it to Dhyāna Master Sengjing. Sengjing did not believe it, so he then returned to the Divine Capital.
