室羅伐悉國。有一精舍。高六十餘尺。以東有天祠量等精舍。日旦流光。天祠之影。不能蔽精舍。日將落照精舍之陰。遂覆天祠影覆矣。

In the kingdom of Śrāvastī, there was a vihāra over sixty feet high. To its east was a deva shrine equal in size to the vihāra. When the morning sun poured its light, the shadow of the deva shrine could not eclipse the vihāra; but when the sun was about to set, the shadow of the vihāra completely covered the deva shrine.
