1.79

昔金剛智三藏和上。年三十一。往南天竺。從龍智受五部灌頂諸祕密之藏。却還中天竺。其後南天竺。三年亢旱。草木枯死。其王遣使。迎請和上。於自宮中。建金剛界灌頂道場請雨。其時甘澤流澍。王臣欣慶。遂為和上造寺安置。經余三載矣。

Anciently, when the tripiṭaka upādhyāya Vajrabodhi was thirty-one years of age, he went to South India, where he received the abhiṣeka of the five divisions and all the secret treasuries from Nāgabodhi. He then returned to Central India. Later, South India suffered a severe drought for three years, and grasses and trees withered and died. Its king dispatched an envoy to invite the upādhyāya to establish a Vajradhātu abhiṣeka ritual site in his own palace to pray for rain. At that time sweet rain poured down, and the king and ministers rejoiced. Thereupon they built a monastery for the upādhyāya to dwell in, and he remained there for over three years.
