周高祖滅法。經藉從灰。以後年中忽見空中。如𮏄大者五六。飛上空中。極目不見。全為一段。隨飄飄上下。朔宰立望。不側是何。久乃翻下。墮上士牆。視乃是大品經之第十三卷。人皆謂希奇感應。歸心者多矣。

When Emperor Wu, High Ancestor of the Zhou, suppressed the Dharma, scriptures and records were turned to ashes. In a subsequent year, people suddenly saw in the sky five or six objects about the size of straw mats flying high into the air, vanishing beyond the range of sight, united into a single sheet, floating and drifting up and down. The magistrate of Shuozhou stood looking up, unable to fathom what it was. After a long while, it fluttered down and landed on an upright gentleman's wall. When inspected, it was the thirteenth fascicle of the Large Chapter [Prajñāpāramitā-sūtra]. Everyone deemed it a rare and wondrous sympathetic response, and many turned their hearts to the faith.
