Zhou Min of the Jin dynasty was a man from Jiangnan. His father was a General of the Army of the Right in the Jin, and their family had venerated the Dharma for generations. During the rebellion of Su Jun, the gentlemen and officials of the capital were all displaced east and west. It was heard that his household possessed the Large Chapter, copied front and back on eighty feet of plain silk split in half. There were also several cases of other scriptures, and the Large Chapter was mixed among them. Since they had to flee from danger on the road, they could not carry everything away. In particular, they did not know in which case the Large Chapter was. With the meal finished and the time to depart at hand, there was no time to search through the boxes. As he paced back and forth sighing with sorrow, unexpectedly the Large Chapter emerged by itself outside. Min took it with shock and delight and carried it away. The Zhou family subsequently treasured it for generations, and it is said to still exist today. Another account says: Humu, wife of Zhou Song, possessed a Large Chapter written on silk; the silk was five inches wide, yet the entire Large Chapter was written upon it.
