其北道入印度者。從京師西北行三千三百餘里至瓜州。又西北三百餘里至莫賀延磧口。又西北八百餘里出磧至柔遠縣。又西南百六十里至伊州。又西七百餘里至蒲昌縣。又西百餘里至西洲。即高昌故地。漢時宜禾都尉所治處也。後沮渠涼王避地於彼。今為塞內。又西七百餘里至。

As for those who enter India by the northern route: from the capital, traveling northwest for more than three thousand three hundred li, one reaches Guazhou. Going another three hundred li northwest, one reaches the mouth of the Moheyanci desert. Going another eight hundred li northwest out of the desert, one reaches Rouyuan County. Going another one hundred and sixty li southwest, one reaches Yizhou. Going another seven hundred li west, one reaches Puchang County. Going another hundred li west, one reaches Xizhou, which is the ancient territory of Gaochang, the seat of government of the Colonel of Yihe in Han times.
