山東南尼連河減二里許。至鉢羅笈菩提山。言前正覺也。佛將證先登因名也。

Less than two li southeast of the mountain, across the Nairañjanā River, one reaches Mount Prāgbodhi (which means 'Prior to Awakening'). It is named so because the Buddha climbed it before attaining enlightenment.
