寺垣門內大井。佛為商侶熱渴。指地曰此可得水。因以車軸築之。泉涌飲之悟聖也。

Inside the monastery's enclosure gate is a large well. When traveling merchants were parched with thirst, the Buddha pointed to the ground and said, 'Water may be found here.' Thereupon an axle of a cart was used to pound the earth; the spring gushed forth, and drinking it they awakened to sagehood.
