伐臘毘國（南印度即北羅羅之別也）周六千餘里。都城周三十餘里。人住盛多。財百億者有數百家。寺百餘僧六千餘人。多小乘正量部天祠數百外道亦多。佛數遊此國。育王多樹塔。有三佛行坐迹　又於西北行七百餘里。至。

the kingdom of Valabhī (South India, which is an offshoot of Northern Lāṭa), more than six thousand li in circuit. The capital is more than thirty li in circuit, with a very dense population. Families possessing one hundred koṭis in wealth number in the hundreds. There are over one hundred monasteries and more than six thousand monks, mostly of the Hīnayāna Saṃmatīyanikāya. There are several hundred deva temples, and tīrthikas are also numerous.
