The monk Yuande of Eastern Wu was commanded to reside there, and was bestowed the title Chan Master Daoji. After he passed away, he was buried at the east peak of Yuantong; it is now called Guangfu Cloister, two li away from Yuantong. Because the magnificent view of Yuantong is foremost on the north side of the mountain, no less than Guizong on the south side, and its agricultural lands are of prime fertility, its annual yield is double. The stone conduit with flowing water extends for more than two hundred and fifty zhang. At the water's source stands the Clear Sound Pavilion. Yet at this temple alone, not a single person, past or present, has left an inscribed poem or stele inscription. The hand-written edicts bestowed upon Yuande during the Qiande era, four letters from Song Qiqiu in eight sheets, the writings of Jing Sui, Prince of Jin, and the military commissioner of Baisheng Army, Wang Chongwen, as well as the three-piece patchwork robe worn by Daoji, are all preserved at Guangfu. Everything from Guangfu and above is subordinated to Jiangzhou.
