怪君不喜仕。又不遊州里。今日到幽居。了然知所以。宿君石溪亭。潺湲聲滿耳。飲君螺盃酒。醉臥不能起。見君五老峯。益悔居城市。愛君三男兒。始歎身無子。余方爐峯下。結室為居士。山北與山南。往來從此始。

I wondered why you took no pleasure in serving as an official, / Nor traveled among prefectures and commanderies. / Today I arrived at your secluded dwelling, / And clearly understood the reason why. / Lodging at your Stone Stream Pavilion, / The sound of murmurings filled my ears. / Drinking the wine from your spiral cups, / Drunk and reclining, I could not rise. / Seeing your Five Elders Peak, / I regret even more having lived in cities. / Loving your three young sons, / For the first time I sigh that I have no child. / I am just now beneath Incense Burner Peak / Building a cottage to become a lay practitioner. / North of the mountain and south of the mountain, / Our visits back and forth shall begin from this.
