蕭洒登山去。龍鍾遇雨回。磴危攀薜荔。石滑踐莓苔。襪污君相謔。鞋穿我自咍。莫欺泥土脚。曾踏玉階來。

Unfettered, we set out to climb the mountain; / Tottering and disheveled, we met rain and returned. / Along perilous stone steps we clutched creeping figs; / On slippery rocks we trod green moss. / When socks were soiled, you teased each other; / When my shoes tore open, I laughed at myself. / Do not despise these muddy feet: / They once trod upon the jade palace steps!
