4.20

明發振雲冠。升嶠遠栖趾。高峯隔半天。長崖斷千里。雞鳴清澗中。猿嘯白雲裏。瑤波逐空開。霞石觸峯起。回互非一形。參差悉相似。

At daybreak I shake my cloud-touching cap; / Ascending the peaks, far off I rest my feet. / Lofty peaks sever half the sky; / Long cliffs stretch unbroken for a thousand leagues. / Cocks crow amidst clear streams; / Gibbons howl within white clouds. / Jasper waves open chasing the sky; / Rosy rocks rise up touching the peaks. / Intertwining, they form no single shape; / Jagged and uneven, all are yet alike.
