唐永泰丙午歲。真卿以罪佐吉州。夏六月壬戊。興殷亮韋柏尼賈鎰同次于東林寺。同則惜熙怡二公惠秀正義二律師泉楊鷫存焉。仰廬阜之爐峯。想遠公之遺烈。外神運殿。禮僧伽衣。覩生法師麈尾扇。謝靈運翻涅槃經貝多梵夾。忻慕之不足。聊寓刻于張李二公耶舍禪師之碑側。魯郡顏真卿書記（刻石在東林寺耶舍禪師碑側）。

"In the bingwu year of the Yongtai era of the Tang, because of an offense, I, Yan Zhenqing, was demoted to serve as assistant in Jizhou. In summer, the sixth month, on renyin, together with Yin Liang, Wei Boni, and Jia Yi, I lodged at Donglin Temple. Also present were Master Xiyi, the two Vinaya masters Huixiu and Zhengyi, as well as Quan and Yang Su. Looking up at the Incense Burner Peak of Mount Lu, we recalled the lingering legacy of Master Yuan. Outside the Shenyun Hall, we paid homage to the saṅghāṭī robe, viewed the chowry fan of Dharma Master Zhu Daosheng, and saw the palm-leaf Sanskrit folios of the Nirvāṇa Sūtra translated by Xie Lingyun. Since our joy and admiration could not be satisfied, I merely made this engraving on the side of the stele for the Two Gentlemen Zhang and Li and Dhyāna Master Yaśa.
