[Our dynasty's] shrine bestowed 'Chongshou' as its plaque; it is what is now called the foundation of Shengshou Monastery. In the middle of the night, the sounds of bells and chimes are often heard, and emerging from the mountain valleys, holy lamps can be seen. During the Yuanfeng era, when a mountain flood erupted violently, Master Ji opened the mountain, planted his staff, and relocated and built the present monastery. Li Bai's quatrain singing of Fangguang says: "Leisurely resting at the holy monastery, I wake from sleep; / At this moment, where is it most secluded and clear? / The window filled with bright moonlight, the celestial wind still; / Now and then, one or two notes of the jade chime are heard."
