Twenty-five li west of the Temple. The peaks encircle it like the walls of a city. Ascending the mountain along a winding path for one or two li, the forest trees provide shade and reflection, deeply enhancing its secluded beauty. It lies to the west of Gleaning Crag. Anciently there was the eminent monk Huidan who lived in the crag, always gleaning ears of grain to sustain himself; hence it was called Gleaning Crag. There were usually two tigers named Great Emptiness and Little Emptiness; whenever he gleaned ears, chopped firewood, or drew water, the two tigers carried them back to the crag as though driven by a person, so people from near and far did not dare to go there. It was built in the Kaiyuan era. During the Taiping Xingguo era, the name plaque was bestowed as before. To the north is a waterfall, presenting a fine view.
