1.54

有異人者。誣佛曰。尹文子有神通者。愍彼胡狄父子。聚塵貪婪忍害昧利。無恥侵害不厭屠裂群生。不可遜讓。厲不可談議喻故具諸事云云。又令得道弟子變化云云。又禁其殺生斷其婚姻使無子孫。伐胡之術。孰良於此云云。

There was a dissenter who slandered the Buddha, saying: “Master Yinwen possessed supernatural powers. He took pity on those barbarians of the north and west, where fathers and sons gathered like dust, greedy, cruel, destructive, blinded by gain, shameless, harmful, insatiably slaughtering and tearing living beings apart, unable to yield with propriety and impossible to instruct or persuade through discussion. Therefore, he set forth all these matters, and so forth. Furthermore, he ordered his disciples who had attained the Dao to manifest transformations, and so forth. Moreover, he prohibited them from killing living beings and severed their marriages so that they would have no descendants. Among methods for conquering barbarians, what could be better than this? And so forth.”
