枉告所宣答神滅勅。理周萬古旨包三世。六趣長迷於此永悟。五道恒疑曉若發蒙。自非鑒窮八解。照侔十號。排罔逸俗。安得如此。奉佩書紳。敢違寢食。法師識踰有境學詣無生。裕揚之善煥如東里。披翫周環用忘所疾。曹景宗白答。

You have condescended to convey the imperial edict replying on the extinction of the spirit. Its principle covers myriad antiquity; its purport encompasses the three times. Those long deluded in the six destinies forever awaken here; those constantly doubting in the five paths become clear as if enlightened from childhood ignorance. Were it not for an insight that exhausts the eight liberations and an illumination matching the Ten Titles, casting out delusion and surpassing the worldly, how could this be achieved? Receiving and cherishing it, I inscribe it upon my sash; how could I dare violate it whether sleeping or eating? The Dharma Master's understanding transcends the realm of conditioned existence, and his learning attains the unproduced; the excellence of your magnanimous propagation is as radiant as Zichan of Dongli. Unrolling and admiring it repeatedly, I forget my illness. Cao Jingzong reverently replies.
