11.7

夫道處清虛四大理常。而有法門妙出群域。若稱其巧能。利物度脫無量為教。何以不見真形於世直空說而無實耶。今正就尋西方根源。伏願大和上。垂懷允納。下心無惜神誥。弟子李淼和南。

"Now, the Dao resides in pure emptiness, and the four great elements follow their regular principles; yet there is a Dharma-door that wondrously transcends all realms. If one praises its skillful ability to benefit creatures and deliver countless beings as its teaching, why does he not show his true form in the world, speaking only of emptiness without actual reality? Now I am earnestly inquiring into the root source of the Western regions. I humbly wish that the Great Upādhyāya will deign to accept this with indulgence, and in your humble heart will not withhold spiritual instruction. Disciple Li Miao respectfully bows."
