或問曰。神本至虛。何故治受萬有而與之為緣。又本虛既均。何故分為愚聖乎。又既云心作萬有。未有萬有之時。復何以累心使感而生萬有乎。

Someone asked: "Spirit is originally supremely empty. Why does it govern and receive the myriad existences, serving as their conditions? Furthermore, since original emptiness is uniform, why is it divided into the foolish and the sage? Moreover, since you say that the mind makes the myriad existences, before the myriad existences existed, by what was the mind burdened so as to be stimulated and give rise to the myriad existences?"
