答曰。知欲限以名器。順其所假。遂令惠人絜士比性於毛群。庶幾之賢同氣於介族。立象之意。豈其然乎。

Reply: Knowing that you wish to restrict them through names and vessels, conforming to what they temporarily borrow, you thus make benevolent people and pure scholars equate their natures with the hairy herds, and worthy men who approximate sages share their qi with armored creatures. Could this be the intention of establishing emblems?
