周之問曰。言道家者豈不以二篇為主。言佛教者亦應以般若為宗。二篇所貴義極虛無。般若所觀照窮法性。虛無法性其寂雖同。住寂之方其旨則別。

Zhou's inquiry: Do not those who speak of the Daoists take the two chapters as primary? And should not those who speak of Buddhist teachings take prajñā as their principal tenet? What the two chapters value ultimately reaches empty nonbeing; what prajñā contemplates exhaustively illuminates the Dharma-nature. Although the stillness of empty nonbeing and the stillness of the Dharma-nature are the same, the methods of abiding in stillness have different purports.
