答彼周曰。應感多端神情數廣。吾不翔翮於四果。卿尚無疑其集佛。吾不翔翮於五通。而於集道復何悔。且寶聖宜本迹匪情急。矧吾已有所集方復移其翔者耶。卿得其無二於兩楹故。不峻督其去取。

Replying to Zhou: Responses and stimuli are manifold; spiritual feelings are diverse and broad. I do not soar upon the four fruits, yet you do not doubt my alighting on the Buddha; I do not soar upon the five supernormal knowledges, so why should I regret alighting on the Dao? Moreover, in prizing the sages, one ought to look to the origin; traces are not an urgent matter of feeling. How much less should I, having already alighted, turn around and change my flight? Because you grasp their non-duality between the two pillars, you do not sternly inspect their accepting and rejecting.
