6.80

周之問曰。足下通源唯道源不及儒。吾固疑其闕。是以相訪。但未知融然自道唯道能融。將道之融然循儒可會耶。雖非義本縱言宜及想釋本暇。幸惠餘音。

Zhouzhi asked, saying: "Sir, you penetrate the source, but your source in the Dao only fails to reach Confucianism. I certainly suspected its lack, which is why I inquired of you. But I do not know whether it is that the Dao is harmoniously self-evident and only the Dao can harmonize, or whether the harmony of the Dao can be converged upon by following Confucianism? Although this is not the root of the doctrine, your unrestrained discourse should touch upon it. Thinking you have leisure from the Buddhist root, I hope you will favor me with your remaining words."
