堂堂天師。明明遠度。邁群挺萃。超然先悟。惠在恬虛。妙不以數。感時而興。應世成務。金顏映發。奇相暉布。肅肅靈儀。依依神步。茫茫造物。玄運冥馳。偉哉釋迦。與化推移。靜也淵默。動也天隨。綿綿遠御。亹亹長縻。反宗無像。光潛影離。仰慕千載。是擬是儀。

Stately was the Heavenly Teacher, / Bright was his far-reaching measure. / Surpassing the multitude and towering above the flock, / Transcendent, he was first awakened. / His grace resided in tranquility and emptiness; / His subtlety lay not in calculations. / Responding to the times he arose; / Answering the world, he fulfilled the task. / His golden countenance shone forth; / His marvelous marks spread their glow. / Solemn was his spiritual demeanor; / Fondly remembered were his divine steps. / Vast is the creation of things; / Mysterious rotation speeds in the dark. / Magnificent was Śākya, / Shifting with transformation. / In stillness, a profound silence; / In motion, followed by Heaven. / Unbroken was his distant governance; / Tireless was his enduring restraint. / Returning to the source, he is without form; / Light hidden, shadow separated. / Gazing up in longing through a thousand years, / Here we model, here we emulate.
