Shadow and echo follow form and sound; / relying on things, their principle arises. / Once they vanish in a flash, / by what means could a likeness remain? / All existing things are no different: / foolishly and blindly, they call it the self. / The four elements still lack a root; / on what could the eight subtle particles rely?
