并州於舊無量壽寺起塔。舍利初在道場。大眾禮拜。重患者便得除。起塔之旦雲霧晝昏。至於已後日乃朗照。五色雲夾之。舍利將入函放光或一尺或五寸。有無量天神。各持香花幢幡寶蓋遍覆州城。

In Bing prefecture, a pagoda was erected at the old Wuliangshou Temple. When the relics were first in the bodhimanda, the great assembly prostrated, and those suffering from grave illnesses were cured. On the morning the pagoda was erected, clouds and mist darkened the day; after the hour of si (9–11 a.m.), the sun shone brightly, flanked by five-colored clouds. As the relics were about to enter the casket, they emitted light of one foot or five inches. Innumerable heavenly spirits each held incense, flowers, banners, streamers, and jeweled canopies, completely covering the prefectural city.
