再答。今不藉顏所推。而謂之為極。但謂顏為庶幾。則孔知幾矣。且許禹昌言。孔非本談。以堯則天體無是同。同體至極豈計有之小大耶。

Second reply: Now I do not rely on what Yan Yuan esteemed to call it the ultimate; but since Yan Yuan is called 'nearly there', Confucius knew the subtleties. Furthermore, while the glorious words of Yu were praised, they were not Confucius's fundamental discourse. Since Yao modeled himself on Heaven, the substance of non-being is identical. If the substance is identically the utmost extreme, why calculate the small or large of existence?
