前奉四月十六日勅旨欲令僧尼道士女冠於君親致拜恐爽於恒情宜付有司詳議奏聞者件狀如前伏聽勅旨。

Previously, an imperial edict was received on the sixteenth day of the fourth month stating: 'It is intended that monks, nuns, Daoist priests, and Daoist nuns should pay obeisance to their sovereign and parents; fearing that this may run contrary to common sentiments, let the competent ministry deliberate upon it in detail and present a memorial.' The articles are presented as above; we humbly await the imperial decree.
