問所引乃極弘曠。只未知此律是優波離律不。答優波離仰述佛律。

[The Emperor] asked: "What you cite is indeed exceedingly broad; I merely do not know whether this Vinaya is Upāli's Vinaya or not." [Dao'en] replied: "Upāli reverently transmitted the Buddha's Vinaya."
