26.113

問云何一種。初直爾而食。後已經於諸佛前誓方復更噉。云何一種。答初人無慚愧。後人有慚愧。乃得有勝初人義。

[The Emperor] asked: "How is it of the same kind? The first person simply ate it, whereas the latter person had already made a vow before the Buddhas and only then ate again. How could it be of the same kind?" [Fachong] replied: "The first person lacks shame and remorse, whereas the latter person possesses shame and remorse; hence they can be considered superior to the first person."
