26.43

在家人雖復飲酒噉肉。是常罪業更非異事出家人若飲酒噉肉。眾魔外道各得其便。是則八不及居家人。

Although householders drink wine and eat meat, it is an ordinary sinful karmic act, nothing out of the ordinary. If one who has left the household drinks wine and eats meat, all māras and non-Buddhists obtain their advantage. Thus, in this eighth way, they fall short of householders.
