26.72

問見殺亦可不見。聞殺亦可不聞。疑作若為得免。答若見因緣不假疑。聞因緣亦不假疑。唯遇得者疑。

It was asked: 'Seeing the slaughter can be avoided; hearing the slaughter can also be avoided; how can suspicion be avoided?' He replied: 'If there are conditions of seeing, there is no need for suspicion; if there are conditions of hearing, there is also no need for suspicion; suspicion only arises for what is encountered [without seeing or hearing].'
