迅矣百齡。綿茲六入。出沒昏疑。興居愛習。矻矻予求。營營爾給。匪德日歸。惟殃斯集。貪人敗類。無厭自及。昭回不希。玄墟何泣。

Swift is a hundred years of age; / vast and lingering are these six sense bases. / Emerging and sinking in darkness and doubt, / dwelling in attachments and habitual cravings. / Laboriously do I seek; / busily are you supplied. / It is not virtue that daily returns, / but only calamities that gather here. / The greedy person ruins his own kind; / insatiability falls upon oneself. / The radiant brightness is not hoped for; / why weep in the dark wilderness?
